I am developing a penchant for short stories between longer reads as a kind of palate cleanser and I loved this collection of stories, all quick to read but written in a way that was self contained and complete. In other words I didn't feel cheated. The stories are wonderful glimpses through a window, covering a variety of genres, and giving the reader enough of a treat to either want to read more from an author s/he hasn't met before, or to confirm in one's mind why certain authors are established favourites.
Writing a short story is an art form and this collection is a fine example.
