One Piece, Vol. 2: Buggy the Clown by Eiichiro Oda

5.0

Still don’t love that Zoro is Zolo in the physical volumes but I deal with it. A few things were off with Nami, her character design in parts and her just casually revealing her secret from the get go seemed weird. I’m curious to know if these differences were in the manga originally and the physical volumes are older prints of the manga and it’s been edited since (the anime is different) or whether it’s like Berserk where the earlier volumes, Oda was still playing around with character designs/character storylines.

Enjoyed it of course. I mean it’s One Piece and it’s always fun revisiting things, I notice how much impactful certain scenes and arcs are and little things I didn’t notice the first time. We’re currently 4 episodes behind for Egghead but are doing a rewatch and are near the end of Skypiea currently. And I’m of course in early days of East Blue for the manga.

I’m really keen to keep doing a lot of manga, going to try and prioritise reading One Piece, Fullmetal Alchemist, Sailor Moon and Komi Can’t Communicate.
