Blood Engines by T.A. Pratt

3.0

This book had several positives for me, especially as the story went on, but the writing was pretty terrible.

I thought the characters were awesome, but there was no development and I feel like Pratt's poor writing abilities really stopped the characters from being more awesome. I think I stopped writing "he said" after every line of dialogue in 5th or 6th grade and Pratt doesn't seem to have learned that trick yet. Pratt also refers to many characters by letters, and reading "B said this" 30 times really didn't do anything to add to the story. At times it felt like a poorly written fan fic.

This book had a lot of potential, but Pratt just couldn't manage to make it interesting.
