Legion: The Many Lives of Stephen Leeds by Brandon Sanderson
4.0
"When the fear of death seizes you -- when the dark thoughts come -- you stare the darkness right back, and you tell it, 'I will not listen to you, for I am infinite Batmans."
This is a bindup of the three Legion novellas: Legion, Skin Deep, and Lies of the Beholder. I've read the first two novellas a couple of times each and really enjoyed them. This was the first time I had read the entire series, from beginning to end.
The aspects and how Stephen interacts with them and the world is fascinating and often headache inducing as I try to visualize what this would be like both from his perspective as well as any onlookers.
The crime solving, Sherlockian mysteries were a lot of fun throughout this series.
The final installment, however, was a bit of a letdown. Sanderson has so many projects going and I think he just needed to end this to get it off his plate. That resulted in a lackluster conclusion. The very end was quite satisfying and I liked the final metaphor, but the rest of that final installment was mediocre compared to the previous two.
