Everything the Darkness Eats by Eric LaRocca

5.0

So, I just finished Everything the Darkness Eats by Eric LaRocca, and let me tell you, it's one hell of a ride! The book is seriously good and the writing is top-notch. My only gripe? I wish it was like 100 pages longer, man. There were some things that I wanted to see explored more, ya know?

But let's talk about the characters. Ghost (and his ghost), dude, they were amazing! LaRocca totally nailed their development, making them feel so real and fleshed out. They were the heart and soul of the story, and I couldn't get enough of their journey.

Now, here's the juicy part. The religious undertones in this book were wickedly evil. It added this twisted layer to the story that I absolutely loved. The whole thing was dark and grim, but there were these moments of light and connection that kept me going.

Okay, I gotta warn you, though. This book gets pretty violent. But hey, the author didn't go overboard with the gory details, so it's still totally readable. Just make sure to check those trigger warnings before diving in, alright?

All in all, Everything the Darkness Eats is a gripping read that left me hungry for more. I wish it had more pages to explore all the cool stuff, but it's still a damn good book. So, if you're into dark tales with well-developed characters and a touch of evil, give it a shot. Trust me, you won't be disappointed.
