The Legend of Sam Miracle by N.D. Wilson

3.0

I understand why so many people love this book: it’s original, there’s a relatable kid with snake arms, and then the whole time-travel element.
But for me personally? Maybe it was too original. I loved the bit with a certain historical character, as I’ve watched my share of Westerns, as well as the idea of helping out your favorite fictional hero. However, other parts of it- especially nearing the end- were really confusing to me.

So, if you don’t mind running through a quirky middle-grade book, this book is for you. Personally, though, I’m skipping the rest of the series.
