Nightweaver by R.M. Gray

4.0

This is a captivating dark fantasy that swept me away from the first page. Seventeen-year-old Violet Oberon, a pirate who’s never set foot on land, faces unimaginable loss when her brother is killed and her family is taken captive. Offered mercy by a Nightweaver lord, Violet begrudgingly becomes a servant at Bludgrave Manor. Fueled by revenge, she uncovers dangerous secrets about her captors and herself while navigating forbidden romance and court intrigue. The vivid world-building, dynamic characters and thrilling twists kept me hooked. The balance of romance, family loyalty, and vengeance was beautifully written. Fans of pirates and gothic tales will love this unique debut. I can’t wait for the sequel!
