The Bookworm Crush by Lisa Brown Roberts

2.0

I grabbed this on Audible since it was included. I didn't look at a description, rating or anything before beginning to listen to this one.

Amy McIntyre is a bookworm and excited about competing for a chance to interview her favorite romance author. She's nerdy and shy and the polar opposite of her crush, Toff, local surfer celebrity. They're friends but he has no idea he's her crush. He's a player though and she knows she shouldn't crush on him, but he would be the perfect swaggering coach to build her confidence for the competition. But can she keep her feelings to herself?

I had no idea this was YA going in and I'm not usually a big YA fan. The narration was mildly annoying. The lack of maturity was very clear and drove me nuts. It's just not for me.
