Prince Charming by K. Webster
2.0

K Webster is one of my favorite authors, but I’m honestly really disappointed with this book. I was expecting so much more development in the h and H’s relationship to have happened, but the H continued to push the H away (emotionally at least) until the very end! I don’t feel like I’m ever going to be convinced of their relationship if it ever actually happens...

Also I’m usually not one to complain about authors dragging stories out into multiple parts, but this series could’ve easily been made into a duet. The conflict that happened at the end of book one should’ve been wrapped up in this book, instead of it just being exposed at the VERY END of book two! I honestly feel like it was just made to have been dragged out for a money grab or something.

There were also things that were built up for the readers to expect drama around, and instead they were just brushed off..I.e. Winston going to lunch with Layla and Winstons mom inviting his ex to his bday party and Winston’s mom inviting ash to the spa. All these events were anticlimactic and served no real purpose.

Honestly the biggest thing I’m disappointed in is the lack of relationship development. I know I keep harping on about this, but their relationship is still in the same place as it was in the first book. I mean...he is still referring to her as a “good investment” at 97%. Winston is no closer to admitting his feelings AT ALL for Ash than he was in the beginning, and Ash is acting like a complete doormat and not standing up for herself while convincing herself Winston will finally admit his feelings for her. I’m will read the final installment when it finally comes out, but at the moments I’m really disappointed and dissatisfied with how this series turned out.
