This was my first book by Christina Lauren and I absolutely LOVED IT! I haven't read New Adult or Adult Contemporary since I read the Beautiful Disaster series when I was in college. I typically don't really care for books with a lot of smut or foul language but this story didn't have an overload of either and it didn't make me too uncomfortable! Maybe my reading tastes have finally matured! Or not every Adult Contemporary is as graphic as the Pucked series by Helena Hunting....

I just feel in love with Josh and Hazel! Hazel is nothing like me she is crazy and doesn't care what people think and I think I liked her so much because she is so comfortable in her own skin and I'm just not. I enjoyed the double dates they went on throughout the story but I knew Josh was the perfect match for her and I was cheering for them to get together as more than friends for the whole story!

This was the perfect friends to lovers summer romance and ended on a much more positive note than my own personal multiple friend zones I've experienced throughout my high school and college years. I am going to try and attempt my own version of "contemporary July" this month so if there are anymore contemporary romances like this one please let me know!
