Cunningham's Encyclopedia of Magical Herbs by Scott Cunningham

3.0

While I enjoy Scott Cunninghams' works very much, this one is not my favorite.

I prefer my herbal reference books to be predominately focused on medicines and simples, not so much on the magical uses.

However, as a student of folklore, I appreciate that many of the alternative names for plants as well as their historical purposes and secondary meanings are well documented here.

Still, it's a book that lives on my reference shelf. Even if it is not often used, it makes itself useful just often enough to keep it there.
