Not You It's Me by Julie Johnson

3.0

This was a fun read.

I enjoyed the beginning quite a bit; it was insta-connection that veered into insta-love (which is my least fave trope) yet the protagonists were so engaging and had terrific chemistry that I bought into that.

That said, once the relationship began I felt the narrative in the middle became sluggish. It lost me for a bit before it shifted gears into high melodrama towards the end, which immediately captured my attention.

But then that ending happened. Or should I say that lack of ending happened. I wondered if my copy had some missing pages— maybe a missing epilogue— but nope, just a very abrupt ending.

I don’t regret reading this one, but I can only give it a lukewarm recommendation.
