There’s a little girl with cancer. There’s a woman with a folder. There’s a son with a letter. There’s a man who is about to make a deal. A life for a life.
Normally, this is not my sort of book. Because heavy emotions are something I deal with enough in real life, and I don’t read for that. But this book was short and sweet. Beautiful words where it’s almost more like a form of poetry.
I trust Fredrik Backman more than any other author. He takes hard things and with his beautiful words he always teaches me about the world and about myself. For these reasons, I trust him with the hardest feelings and this is truly the highest compliment I can give. He hasn’t betrayed me yet ❤️
