The Catcher in the Rye
by J.D. Salinger
Oh my God! Did I enjoy this! A helluva good book!
I sympathized with Holden since he is an adolescent who does not like this system consisting of phonies as he mentions. I have felt like Holden himself had been in my room narrating his story. This is why Salinger is considered as a great author [and that's why a lot of authors want to write like him]; he can write novels with real characters and make the reader believe that he is a part of the story. Great! (not grand, Holden hates it).
I swear to God I am a madman.
