My Sister, the Serial Killer by Oyinkan Braithwaite

4.0

Its crazy how long I was umming and arring about reading this book, the title and cover always intrigued me and lured me towards it but I never walked out of the bookshop with a copy.
I saw this on kindle unlimited when browsing and thought to myself, 'I keep seeing this book in so many places maybe it's a sign I need to read it' so I did, and I was so so SO greatly surprised.
There is something compelling about Oyinkan Braithwaite's writing that kept me reading and unable to put it down. I also had no idea it would be such a quick read, finishing it in one sitting.
Now, I wouldn't class this book as a thriller/mystery at all, which is what the title led me to believe, but I found the story so powerful and brought out many emotions in me, mostly frustration and anger towards the younger sister but at the same time its core is focused on the sisterly bond, family and just how far you'd go to protect those you love.
If I see another of Oyinkan's books in future, you can be sure there will be no hesitation from me to pick it up.
