This duology was so devastatingly beautiful I wish it had a third instalment. The first book started off slowly and took me a while to get through, however the characters and politics were so perfectly written. It was really the second book, though, that made the story what it was. I knew it was a Romeo and Juliette retelling from the start, but hadn’t prepared myself for the shear power of the story. I honestly enjoyed reading these books so deeply.
