Sri Devi Mahatmyam for Kids: Glories of the Feminine God in Hinduism by Ishwar Joshi Awalgaonkar, Ishwar Joshi Awalgaonkar

5.0

Ishwar Joshi Awalgaonkar's third book is for kids. Still, I think it is for every reader who is interested in Hinduism or wants to learn about Devi (Goddess) and her nine different forms. And what is a better time to read this book, if not during the Navratri festival?

The book offers information about Devi's origin, how she annihilates evil periodically, and how anyone can seek her blessings. It is divided into short sections, so you can read this book to your kids at once or pick a chapter of your choice as well.

A book like this one will be an excellent beginning for you to discuss the topic of women empowerment and teach your children about a spirited, fearless, and robust female figure. In addition, they will learn about Navratri and comprehend Hindu ideology too. So, I highly recommend this book.
