So You Want to Talk About Race by Ijeoma Oluo

5.0

A field guide for the anti-racist. Oluo has a way of tying measurable injustice into narrative one can empathize with, which is something those more anti-social justice are often more likely to be swayed by.

If you are a White person who considers yourself an anti-racist and you've read other books of this nature, many of the concepts will not be new to you. The last chapter, though, is a fantastic list of the many ways you can actually effect change for the good of racial justice in your community. To sum it up: pay attention on a local level. Ask questions. Demand change from the people who call you a constituent.

*I listened to this book on audio, and found the narrator very easy and pleasant to listen to.
