Really enjoyed the Chinese mythology basis for this book. Characters were also very engaging! There was a great balance between action, adventure and romance. Also dang, that plot twist (I did not see it coming). Book was well written. Some words and phrases were a little repetitive (iron and salt, and there was so much brocade fabric everywhere - literally every chapter I think). Mild complaints, but something I definitely noticed. Wish it was a little spicier romance wise but overall a very enjoyable read!
