Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen

4.0

As a romance fan, this book has naturally been on my radar for years, but apparently it took a pandemic to make me read it... Three months later and I have FINALLY finished! I wanted to be pulled into this book and love it, but honestly it took a long time for me to truly get into it and I found only the last 100 pages absolutely page turning. Maybe classics aren't meant for me and my poor attention-span Millennial brain. Having already read Emma this is definitely my favourite of the two and much easier to read (Jane Austen newbies should definitely start here and not with the former). Overall, I'm glad I've read it and feel much more well read having done so/smug at now being able to reference the book whilst watching the beautiful 1995 adaptation [delete as appropriate], but I don't think I'll be picking it up again for a re-read any time soon.
