‘It was masterful but cruel, how they knew to demand the payment that would hurt the most.’
I really enjoyed the conclusion to this duology.
I absolutely adore Alessa and Dante’s relationship, their banter and communication, but I do feel that by focusing on the relationship aspect, the story lost a bit of urgency. We knew what they were trying to achieve, but it kinda felt like they meandered toward the end rather then having any drive. I also think that Alessa’s deterioration wasn’t explored enough.
However, I sid enjoy the side characters and setting, and the Audio was FANTASTIC.
anyone watched book of life? The ending of this book was very much that and that’s all I could see 🙈
