This one was a big miss for me—and honestly, that’s putting it politely. I read Between Two Fires as part of Boy Book Club™ (yes, it’s a real thing and yes, we just let in our second girl—progress!). But wow… I hated this book.
To be fair, this is not my genre, and it’s definitely not my taste. The writing didn’t click with me at all, and I found myself slogging through it just waiting for it to end. And when it finally did end? That was the best part.
If this book is your thing, more power to you. But for me, it was a hard no from start to finish.
