After the disaster of a play that [b:The Taming of the Shrew|47021|The Taming of the Shrew|William Shakespeare|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1327935253s/47021.jpg|3152341] was, I decided to catch up on my Shakespeare group's January reading of The Comedy of Errors before March came and another play came up to read.
I tried so hard to finish this play but it was trivial, the characters weak without much depth; all in all, the whole play seemed to be characters being harsh and cruel to man with mental health issues which really irked me and made it a struggle to get through.
I really didn't enjoy this play at all - save for one passage - and the whole thing just felt like a waste of time. I really wouldn't recommend this to anyone. Give this play a miss and read some of Shakespeare's sonnets instead.
