Radio Silence by Alice Oseman

4.0

This book was really an EXPERIENCE and that might sound weird but I have no idea how else to word it. Alice Oseman’s description of overachieving teenagers and the misplaced importance on college hit VERY HARD. I could relate to doing most things in high school solely for college acceptances and then realizing, was it really worth it in the end? The author gives us such real portrayals of teenagers and their struggles that felt like glimpses of my life at times. This book was such an amazing depiction of senior year and teenage-hood. Oseman really knows how make a readers look deep within making them question themselves because this book had me OVERTHINKING my past decisions. This book was a great way to start 2021 but it didn’t give me the 5 star masterpiece I was hoping for. Still so happy I finally read it!! WHAT THE HECK THIS BOOK WAS PUBLISHED ON MY BIRTHDAY?!??
