Such an interesting genre! I thought it would feel like a mystery where you try to decipher who the murderer is, but that really isn’t the case! It’s truly written like a true crime podcast and leaves you guessing what is based in truth and what is not. (In the Author’s Note, Chizmar breaks down where all of his inspiration came from) It’s a first-person perspective and reads more like a story where you’re along for the ride than a book where the reader is an active participant. Not what I was expecting at all, but couldn’t put it down!
