Adventure of the Abbey Grange by Arthur Conan Doyle

4.0

An Australian lady travels to England, marries well (well what was thought to be a good marriage) and is caught up in the murder of her husband.

Sherlock and Watson are on the case to uncover what happened in the dining room when the maid and her mistress' story of the events don't match up to the wine glass clue that Sherlock cannot let go until he solves the case.

This is one of the stories in which Sherlock takes a different route with the outcome not necessarily being resolved as neatly as the others.

I enjoyed this one and in particular, how Watson is perplexed when Sherlock gets up on the mantle to solve the clue.
