I suggested this book to the library a while ago because it sounded amazing, and WOW. Im speechless, I'm jittery because I have so much to say. From the beginning I was hooked in this story, the characters were amazing . Simon the loving and caring father I wished I had, Steffi the best friend anyone could ever ask for, Esben the caring, loving, and generous man that these days are only in our dreams.I connected to all of them, which almost never happens. I loved Danny and Jason his best friends and comrades. I loved Kerry, her story was represented so well. Everything together made this book and I enjoyed the ride. This book broke me and healed me together with gold. I laughed, I cried, I screamed and I smiled. So many lessons to learn from each and every character.
This book made me believe in humanity. That there are beautiful people with kind hearts , you just have to know where to look. It changed my perspective on so many things and I loved the idea of 180 seconds of eye contact. The social media challenges Esben did and a few with Allison were so fun and also changed my view on humanity and made me want to make changes. To inspire kindness and make someone's day better by a small act of kindness like Esben did.
I thought I saw true love from all the other books I've read (which is a lot) but this took the cake. It was the cherry on top. Nothing can top the love in this book because it is not just one type of love it is all. It is romance, friendship love, father-daughter love, and a love for humanity.
