I came into this book all thanks to Fangirl. The small hints and opening chapters in that one book intrigued me to know what it was about Simon Snow that had Cather writing for hours and ignoring everything.

To say I was pumped when Rowell wrote this is true, but it didn't feel right to have read it anytime before now. I sat with this copy because I thought I expected something and wasn't sure what, but I should have had faith in Rowell.

She gave me a great Chosen One story that had adventure and magic, but it had great dialogue, which I loved the best! It feels familiar but not, new and yet old, and once I started, I found myself having to pace myself because it was a story worthy of Cather staying up late into the nights to write her fanfics.
I get it now. I get the hype, and I'm off to follow Snow and Baz on their next adventure, hopefully soon.
