Queen of the Dead by Stacey Kade

4.0

Queen of the Dead picks up a couple of months after [b:The Ghost and the Goth|7008041|The Ghost and the Goth (The Ghost and the Goth, #1)|Stacey Kade|http://photo.goodreads.com/books/1268423785s/7008041.jpg|7252832]. It's now the middle of summer, and Will and Alona are working together to help other ghosts get into the light. While attempting to help a particularly ornery ghost they meet Mina, who can also communicate with the dead. While Will attempts to get some answers about both his father and his abilities, Alona, in an attempt to get his attention, finds herself in a mess even she can't solve.

Written in the same format, alternating between Will and Alona, this is just as funny and entertaining as [b:The Ghost and the Goth|7008041|The Ghost and the Goth (The Ghost and the Goth, #1)|Stacey Kade|http://photo.goodreads.com/books/1268423785s/7008041.jpg|7252832], and unlike many 2nd books in a series it actually moves the story in a new direction. Readers may be divided over how they feel about this direction, but it's definitely going to make for an interesting conclusion to the series.
