The Professor by Robert Bailey

5.0

I am officially hoked on McMurtrie, Drake, and Haynes! I came across Legacy of Lies and read it earlier. I felt the entire time like I had been dropped into a story that had been going for a bit and I learned that while it is book 1 of Bocephus Haynes, a number of the characters are from Bailey's earlier books. So, I headed out in search of the earlier novels and was not disappointed.

I love Tom McMurtrie. A former athlete, lawyer, turned professor he is everything great teachers are -- tough on students, filled with encouragement, and always wanting and bringing out the best.

The story is a good legal thriller, one of my favorite genres, but it's the characters that make the story. You love the people and the families and remember while small towns are just the best.
