Book One: Moon by Aaron Ehasz, Melanie McGanney Ehasz

4.0

I have recently fallen in love with The Dragon Prince series, overjoyed to find a beautifully written and genuinely inclusive pure fantasy series. The world building, characters, and plot are fantastic but also simple enough for a younger audience to be able to follow comfortably.
Though I wouldn't say this novelisation is perfect it is a fantastic adaptation, though there are some slight inconsistencies with the show nothing major is changed. The novelisation offers a new outlook on the lore of the series as well as a deeper understanding of certain characters and their lives that we couldn't get from the show.
I definitely recommend this to any fans of The Dragon Prince or to anyone who would like to get into a fantasy series but does not have access to the Netflix series. It's a light read and easy to follow as the franchise is directed at a younger audience but it's depictions of very raw and human emotions and experiences are also great for older readers.
