I've never read an Ali Hazelwood book before, though I do know her romance books are relatively popular. When I heard she was releasing a paranormal romance I figured it would be the perfect time for me to give her a shot. I really liked this book, the enemies to lovers, arranged marriage trope was giving. You can feel the slow burn as they uncover how good they could be together in spite of their differences and their situation. That being said, you can definitely tell that this is the authors first paranormal book. At times there was a lot of info dumping, and other times that I thought the story could benefit from more world building, especially concerning the weres. I would still recommend this book if you want a easy romance that features lots of paranormal tropes. I'll be excited to see if she makes a sequel!
