I have never had a book cause me so much anger - a testament to the writing. I could feel Clytemnestra’s rage and appreciate that Casati didn’t shy away from the brutality of it all.
It was a little slow at points and I found myself getting tired of reading about Clytemnestra wandering to different parts of the palace to have a conversation with somebody. In saying that, when the action hits it hits HARD and the slower points do help build tension.
It’s a book that’ll stick with me for a long time.
