Katniss is so different in the book. So much less one dimensional. She waves to the audience and cries and actually feels things for Peeta already, even if she doesn’t completely understand it. But she also immediately loaded and aimed an arrow when they announced only one winner, before the berries. It was odd that she didn’t immediately kill Cato though after the mutts got him, like it took hours. And now Peeta has a prosthetic leg from the bite.
The mentions of Haymitch are ouchy. The way she hugged him first out of the arena.
It’s clear Katniss only cared about rue initially because she reminded her of prim.
Loveeee Katniss and Peeta’s back and forth in the arena. And how it explained why Peeta teamed up with the careers. And that Foxface did accidentally die from the berries because Katniss didn’t even recognize them from training.
