The Secret History by Donna Tartt

5.0

this book was a fun read. I particularly enjoyed the cast of characters and the backdrop of their studies in classics. there was definitely a chunk after the climax, which occurred about halfway through, where I felt it became a little slow and meandering, but I also felt that the story couldn’t have proceeded any other way. just when I thought all of the action was pretty much over, the last half of the final chapter of the book picks back up again and I was reminded why, for most of the story, I couldn’t put this book down. a subtle masterpiece, for sure.
