A horrifying book about a family not caring about their child’s health or life. While he literally turns into a bug, the metaphor of it being an impairment or disability that the family doesn’t truly understand makes the whole situation sad. From the family ignoring him as he wilts away to them not even caring at his death is chilling and makes you question your role in your family and if they would care if you were a worm.
