Heir of Fire by Sarah J. Maas
4.0

I tried to quickly finish this before the clock striked 12 before new years and I’m glad I saved it. Those last chapters went hard and made me feel all kinds of emotions so I was up until 5:30.

I did mess up the reading order so I’ll just blaze through Assasins blade and NEED to start queen of shadows asap.

Looking back I really enjoyed the build up. At first I thought it was a bit slow paced and it took some time getting introduced to the new characters. But I did really enjoy the slower developments and it helped with the utter loathing of the king.
The battles Celaena had to face actually helped with her likeability for me. I finally understood some stuff deep rooted inside of her and I hope she can find peace at the end of this. As long as she doesn’t end up with ChThe battles that she faced in this book made me yell and cry and I finally care about what’s gonna happen to her. Except if she gets back with Chaol because other than get her to Wendlyn I don’t see the point of him anymore. There are too many mortals in this world of Fae and I want the possibility of an everlasting love story. I know it’s not really a romance book but the characters we’re starting to love deserve a happy ending.

And why did we have to do Dorian like that? That boy did nothing wrong except for his taste in women.
