This probably wasn’t the book to kick off the new year with, as it was definitely more of an end-of-year burnout read - but I still loved it.

I loved the way Natalie Sue wrote a character and a plot line that centred on anxiety, but was still deeply funny. I think a lot of us have a little bit of Jolene in us - even if it’s just the office that brings it out!

High points: Jolene’s snarky commentary on office dynamics is genuinely laugh out loud

Low points: Caitlin was quite literally the worst, and her story arc was not strong enough to redeem her in my mind. In the bin pls and thank u
