Ache
by Marley Valentine
Grab a box of tissues and a bottle of wine for this one.
Ache is yet another book that further cements why Marley Valentine is a one-click author for me. This one is on-brand for the author; plenty of angst, emotion, and heartfelt moments.
"If I let him touch me, there won't be another ten years of fear and indecision. It can only be all or nothing. And whichever way it goes, I know I won't ever recover."
Best friends Jordan and Gael are the definition of soul mates.
"It was one choice with three very different life-altering consequences. And I didn't want consequences. I wanted endless possibilities. A future. A [censored] happily ever after."
Their story is riddled with heartbreak, healing, traumatic events, and so much love. The unexpected third-POV further exacerbated the angst of the story, but it was so well placed and perfectly executed—it really brought the story together for me.
It ends in a HEA, but what a trip to get there. I refuse to spoil anything, because this is definitely one you need to read and experience for yourself, one word at a time.
