The Blueprint
by S.E. Harmon
3.5⭐️ I think I enjoyed the writing more than the actual plot of this book. SE Harmon is very clever and funny. I’ll definitely be reading more of her books.
I appreciated that this was a slightly different take on the “best friends to lovers” trope. Kelly, the tattooed nerdy college professor, has been in love with Blue, his straight NFL player best friend, since they were kids. I loved Kelly. He was funny, smart, sexy, and loyal to a fault. However, Blue comes across as an inconsiderate jerk for a good portion and I was left wondering why Kelly was so in love with him in the first place.
Heads up: There was a lot of jealousy and hooking up with other people in this book. I enjoy jealous/possessive drama in books (and it wasn’t really cheating) but I know some people don’t.
