The Secrets of Love Story Bridge by Phaedra Patrick

4.0

If you’ve read The Curious Charms of Arthur Pepper the you’ll have an idea of what Phaedra Patrick can do with words. The Secrets of Love Story Bridge starts out rather somberly as Mitchell still grieves the passing of his partner, Anita. He’s a single dad raising their nine year-old on his own and leads a regimented life. He left a demanding job to work in another field that allows him to devote his time to his daughter. One day, while on the job, an accident happens that signals the start of several changes in his life.

The story is sweet, sad and also hopeful. It’s about the power and importance of human connection and is simply a lovely read.
