This would be a five stars if not for

the catskin references. Cat lovers be warned.

I loved this book. It tugged at my heartstrings in all the right places. It's about generational trauma and the power of stories. The narrator for the audio was spot-on with the pronunciation and even singing the parts of the narrative that were sung by the characters, which really kept me in the story.
