Kafka on the Shore by Haruki Murakami

is murakami's writing fiction or have we lived our modern lives so one dimensionally we fail to see *magic in the mundane* ?

this is a dense and weird book full of riddles or is *made* of riddles. the characters themselves are puzzles as they are puzzle pieces. interlocking in unexpected ways. never truly solving the main puzzle.

i found the frenetic switching of pov my biggest challenge. there are lines that made me pause and will stay with me. the reading journey is enjoyable. i'm glad i've read it but i don't think i'm picking it up again.

it is a sandstorm of a book
