I bought into the hype with this one...a book that has a true crime podcast element? Sold. Except, as a plot device, the podcast aspect seemed to get in the way. It added a bit of extra information about what was happening to Sadie when we weren't with her, but it wasn't enough for me to really like the format; I would've preferred third person omniscient or having to fill in the blanks for myself.
Although the mystery was enough to keep my attention, overall this book felt like the equivalent of a "shrug" response when someone asks if I'd recommend it.
