Guy Noir and the Straight Skinny by Garrison Keillor

3.0

I can't imaging having read this over listening to it. The power of Guy Noir is hearing it and that's a large value add here; hearing Garrison, Tim and Sue act out the story rather than Garrison just reading it.

However this long form story perhaps shows the value of getting Guy Noir in short segments on Prairie Home Companion. The story was stretched and it lacked a lot the one off humorous moments you get in the weekly show. The sex and body jokes were stretched quite thin and was too much filler than I preferred, but all in all it was still nice to get a little more of the radio atmosphere.
