wanderingworlds 's review for:
Stolen by an Alien
by Amanda Milo
I've seen this book numerous times on KU and finally got around to reading it- and let me tell you, it did NOT disappoint. This book was all the delicious sci-fi romance fun I was expecting it to be.
The hero, Arokh was interesting, fun, and everything I wanted in an alien hero. He was strong, sweet, and when we got to see things from his POV - very concerned about consent and morality of being with the heroine. He was honorable while still being an "alpha" male - which I really liked. He has a complete character arc and it made me really root for the guy.
The heroine, Angie was just okay for me. It's not something I can put my finger on - other than just being a bit bland. She was nice, and stood up for herself plenty of times, and also stood up for Arokh. She was likable and funny - but just a little stale.
For those wondering about the trigger warning provided by the author, I personally believe that those subjects were handled with respect. It is not graphic and is over very early on in the book.
Overall, this was a sweet and interesting read! I liked the world introduced and will be checking out the others in the series, as well as more books by Amanda Milo.
