This book keeps you on the edge the whole way through. So MUCH happens! It’s bittersweet, heartbreaking, and leaves you reflecting after it’s over. While it wasn’t perfect, there were some sections that dragged on, the overall experience was so satisfying. People who died in previous books aren’t just forgotten, they’re spoken about and you can see the impact they’ve left. I like that they’re still remembered.
My girl Helene, just could not catch a break! My heart broke for her again and again. I’m happy she seems to be healing towards the end. I’m also happy that she found a friend in Laia and Musa. Harper dying, NO! The twist at the end with who killed Keris, ohh, I did not see that coming! I’m glad Cook was able to find some peace and be a mother to Laia and give Elias his freedom.
Loyal to the end.
