Horror is definitely not my genre but I literally read The Brother’s Curse cover to cover today. I could not put that book down.
Imagine living in a town known for evil and sinister occurrences? A town whose very existence is steeped in demonic lore and witchcraft. I mean who in their right minds continues to live there? Lakeview Falls is like Mystic Falls from the Vampire Diaries. Except Mystic Falls is the home of vampires and Lakeview Falls is home to demons.
Crystal is 2 weeks away from her 25th birthday and has no idea of the foolishness that's in store for her. After being gifted a necklace with a rare Amethyst stone, her life went from bad to worse. A necklace with a deadly past and horrible consequences when worn. The fact that her family, namely her mother kept family secrets from her was foul!!!
Crystal just wants to get on with her life but when she catches the eye of her next door neighbor she becomes a little dumb. Then again a handsome face and nice body can have that type of effect on a person. Unfortunately, Crystal’s Prince charming isn't as charming as he seems. What on earth could he be hiding?
Young men are going missing only to be found mutilated and skinned alive….gross. One by one those close to Crystal began to suffer horrific fates. Nobody in Lakeview Falls is safe. Nor have they been in quite some time.
Christine has a way with words. The visuals you experience while reading this book can be a little nauseating and I lost count of how many times people defected on themselves when coming face to face with pure evil.
If horror is your genre then I recommend The Brother's Curse but don't get attached to any 1 character because NOBODY is safe…..Like
