This book was great and I think it brings up very relevant and current issues with the voting system in the United States.  I thought the author addressed them well.  The characters were incredibly compelling and complex.

I really liked that this book was dual POV because I got a good understanding of both characters and why they acted the way they did.  I also loved the flashback chapters because it gave a great fuller picture of the characters’ lives.

As someone who has worked polling stations before, all the problems brought up in this book are genuine.
