Falling into Place by Amy Zhang

I loved the narrator of this story. Once I figured out her (?) identity I enjoyed the twist. From a more general view on the narrator, despite the fact that the plot wasn't funny I found that the way the narrator choose to phrase certain things was very funny.
The book has a nonlinear structure but it still had a very clear order of events.
Liz is a very well rounded, complex character. It's easy to feel sympathy for her while also being horrified at her actions. None of the other characters were fleshed out as well as Liz. That's not to say they weren't also well rounded but not being the main characters they weren't given as much time. The only character that I wish we could have gotten to know better was Liz's mother. Almost no time was soever from her perspective and that absence was felt.
